Grind and seal sits between painted concrete and a fully polished floor. The slab is ground to remove coatings and open the surface, then cleaned and sealed with a penetrating or film-forming protector.
You get a clean, uniform, protected floor with a low to medium sheen. It costs less and takes less time than a full polish, and can be upgraded to polishing later.
Where it makes sense
Back rooms, warehouses, garages, workshops and budget-conscious retail often choose grind and seal. It handles dust and stains well and keeps upkeep light.
The trade-off
The surface will not reach the glassy look of a fully polished floor. Film-forming sealers also wear and need recoating over time.

Good questions about grind & seal.
Is grind-and-seal the same as polished?
No. Polishing goes through many finer steps and densifies the slab.
Will it stay shiny?
Sealer sheen fades with wear and can be renewed.
Can I polish later?
Yes. The grind-and-seal is a start.
