Many floors hide behind decades of coverings: vinyl tile glue, black mastic, thick paint, worn epoxy and carpet adhesive. None of it polishes. All of it has to come off first.
We use heavy grinders with the right tooling for each material, and scrapers where grinding would clog. Dust extraction handles the mess, and some old mastics need special handling, which we flag before work starts.
Know what you are removing
Some older flooring adhesives may contain hazardous materials. When a building is old, testing is wise before any grinding. We will tell you when we see signs that testing is needed.
Tooling for the job
Thin paint and sealer come off with aggressive grinding. Thick epoxy and mastic may call for scrapers, then grinding. We choose the quickest safe approach to leave a clean, ready slab.

Is it right for your floor?
A good fit when
- Your floor has glue, mastic or old paint
- An epoxy or coating is peeling
- You are going from tile or carpet to concrete
- You want to polish the slab
Worth knowing
- Old adhesives in old buildings may need testing
- Thick coatings take longer
- Some stains soaked into the slab remain
- Slab damage under flooring is revealed only after removal
Good questions about coating & adhesive removal.
Can you remove thick epoxy?
Yes, with scrapers and grinders. It takes more time than thin coatings.
What about old black glue?
It can be removed. In older buildings, testing for hazardous materials is wise first.
Will the slab be damaged?
Removal can reveal existing slab damage, which we then repair.
