Floor Flatness, Levelness and Leveling
A floor that reflects well needs to be flat. We measure and correct it.

A glossy floor shows every wave. Dips and humps bend reflections and make carts wobble. Before polishing, we check the slab with straightedges and level instruments to see what we are dealing with.
Small high spots grind off. Low spots can be filled with self-leveling products. Large problems may need a topping slab or overlay.
Flatness versus levelness
Flatness is about local bumps and waves. Levelness is about the overall slope. A floor can be flat but not level, or level but wavy. Different uses care about one or the other.
Correcting what we can
We grind high spots, fill low spots and discuss any that are too large to fix economically. Warehouses with narrow-aisle equipment often have specific requirements.

Worth knowing

- Specs vary by use
Good questions about flatness & leveling.
Can you make my floor perfectly flat?
We can improve it a lot. Perfection depends on the slab and the budget.
Why does flatness matter for gloss?
Reflections distort over waves.
Do you work to a spec?
Tell us the requirement and we will plan to it.
