Polishing basics
Is polished concrete the same as a coating?
No. A coating is a film on top. Polished concrete is the slab itself, ground and densified to a shine.
Can my existing slab be polished?
Most sound slabs can. We test hardness, moisture and condition first.
How shiny can it get?
From a soft satin to a mirror finish. You choose the level.
Will cracks and joints show?
They can. Repairs make them stable and clean, but many remain visible as fine lines.
Cost and timing
What affects the price?
Size, slab condition, repairs, number of steps, final gloss, aggregate exposure and color.
How long does a project take?
It depends on size and condition. We give a schedule with your estimate.
Can you work after hours?
Yes. Night and weekend phasing is common.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Call (305) 508-9795 or send the form.
Care and maintenance
How do I clean polished concrete?
Dust mop daily and damp mop with a neutral cleaner. Avoid acids and harsh chemicals.
Does it need waxing?
No. Wax is not needed and can build up.
Can a dull floor be refreshed?
Yes. Burnishing or re-polishing renews the shine.
Will it stain?
A guard helps. Wipe spills quickly.
Florida questions
Is polished concrete good in humid climates?
Yes. It does not warp or swell. We test slab moisture first.
Can a flooded slab be saved?
Often, if it is sound and dried properly.
Is it slippery when wet?
High gloss can be. We choose sheen and traction to suit each area.
Do you serve my city?
We list more than fifty Florida cities. Find yours on the service-area page.
Color and design
Can I add color?
Yes. Dye and stain add color. We make samples on your slab.
Can you cut patterns or logos?
Yes. Saw-cut grids, borders and logos are available.
What is aggregate exposure?
How much sand and stone is revealed by grinding: cream, salt-and-pepper or full aggregate.
Polished concrete or epoxy?
Polished concrete does not peel and breathes. Epoxy offers more color options. We can compare them for your project.
